TDP leader and former MLA Beedha Masthan Rao today joined the YSRCP in the presence of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, in Amaravathi.
He was welcomed by party leaders V Vijayasai Reddy, MP Prabhakar Reddy, minister Arvind Kumar Yadav and others.
Speaking to the media later, Rao said that he had walked into the ruling party whole-heartedly keeping in view the welfare schemes being implemented by the government.
He said that CM Jaganmohan Reddy had implemented 80% of his election-eve promises, and was treating his party manifesto as a holy book, and that was what impressed him.
He said that he would work along the party lines to strengthen it further.
Rao had resigned from the TDP on Friday, and said that he had left Chandrababu Naidu due to no respect for him (Rao) in the party. He however said that he had no personal animosity with any political leader.
