Murali Mohan says that the TDP's decision on Telangana is firm, but adds that the party would ensure that justice is done to both the regions after bifurcation.
Telugu Desam Party senior leader and cine-actor Murali Mohan announced that the party would not withdraw their letter that was submitted to the Centre in favour of the formation of Telangana.
Addressing reporters here, on Saturday, Murali Mohan said that the party's stand on Telangana is firm, and that it would stand firm on its letter given to the Centre. He added that the TDP, however, strongly believes that no kind of injustice should be meted out to any region of the Andhra Pradesh state.
"TDP has no special love for the Telangana region or hatred towards Seemandhra," he said. He said that all regions should get justice after the bifurcation.
Murali Mohan also condemned the criticism that is being directed towards the TDP in regards to the statehood issue. He alleged that the YSR Congress party and other groups were silent when TDP gave its letter to the Centre, but were targeting the TDP now, only for political gains.
The TDP leader also made an announcement that TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu would go ahead with the proposed "Telugu Jaathi Athma Gourava Yatra" as planned. (INN)
