Telangana Minister for Animal Husbandry and Cinematography Talasani Srinivas Yadav led hundreds of people today paying floral tributes to actor-comedian Venu Madhav at Film Chamber.
The popular Telugu film comedian passed away on Wednesday, September 25, in Yashoda Hospital, Secunderabad, of liver and kidney ailments, reportedly caused by heavy drinking. He was 51. He had been ailing for a while, and had not appeared in any movies for over three years now.
Speaking to the media, Talasani said that Venu Madhav's demise had pained one and all, especially given that he was quite young. He extended sympathies to the bereaved family members.
The minister had earlier offered Rs 2 lakh towards the final rites and hospital dues of the actor. The final rites were held at Bansilalpet cemetery today.
Top Tollywood actors including Chiranjeevi, Mohan Babu, Balakrishna, Rajasekhar, Jeevitha and others also came down to Film Chamber to pay their last respects, and recalled their association with the departed actor.
