Ranganath Cremated, Several Actors Turn Up

The Tollywood fraternity on Sunday paid homage to senior actor Ranganath, who had committed suicide on Saturday. His body was kept at Film Chamber at Jubilee Hills before cremation on Sunday.

Prominent actors including Chiranjeevi, Murali Mohan, Giribabu and Jamuna, and producer Tammareddy Bharadwaj paid their last respects to the departed actor.

Chiranjeevi recalled his association with Ranganath from the days of his Love In Singapore film.

"It is unfortunate that a great actor and a good human-being such as Ranganath ended his life so abruptly. May his soul rest in peace," the film fraternity said.

Later, the body of Ranganath was cremated at the Bansilalpet crematorium. His son Nagendra lit the funeral pyre.
