Telangana Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today hit out at BJP state president and MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar for his remarks against Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
Taking serious exception to Kumar's repeated claims that the CM would be sent to jail for corruption and financial irregularities, Yadav lashed out at the BJP saying that it did not have the courage to send the CM to jail.
He also ridiculed the BJP chief for being a naive politician, and likened him to a "new beggar" who did not yet know how to beg.
"The BJP leaders in the state, including Bandi Sanjay, have become arrogant after winning just one by-election and a few seats in the GHMC elections. They are now making reckless comments. The TRS has won many more elections in Telangana, but it does not indulge in such base behaviour," the minister said.
He also accused the saffron party of not caring for the people of the state.
"The BJP wants only to secure votes by discrediting the current state government. If it really cared for the people of the state, the party's leaders in the state would secure funds from the Centre for the GHMC flood victims. Not only has it not secured any funds, the party has also failed to keep its promise of giving each flood-affected family monetary compensation worth Rs 25,000. Unlike the BJP, the TRS government has given aid worth Rs 10,000 to each of the flood victims. I urge the party's leaders to maintain decorum before resorting to making baseless charges against rival parties, and to focus on working for the people," Yadav added.
