Police today suddenly shut down the Cafe Niloufer located on Road No 12 in Banjara Hills near Telangana Bhavan.
Customers who were having tea inside the caf? were forcibly evicted and asked to leave the premises.
BRS working president K T Rama Rao appeared before the ACB office in Banjara Hills as part of the investigation into the Formula E car race case. On this occasion, a large number of BRS activists, including former ministers, MLAs and party leaders, gathered at the ACB office after marching from Telangana Bhavan.
Police stopped the BRS leaders at the entrance of the ACB office, leading to a heated argument between the activists and law enforcement personnel. In this context, anticipating that BRS supporters might assemble near Cafe Niloufer, the police cleared the area and evicted those having tea.
Media personnel who arrived to cover the incident were also asked to leave.
Several BRS activists seen near the caf? were detained by the police.
