Before the Speaker finally suspended them, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao slammed the Opposition Parties for disrupting the proceedings of the House.
When the Opposition members gathered at the podium demanding clarity from the government on the growing farmers' suicides, the Chief Minister reacted in an anguished manner.
"It is totally undemocratic to stall the proceedings of the House. If the Opposition is unhappy with the government's version, it can protest in many ways, but they are not supposed to stall the House," KCR remonstrated. "The government will do its best to tide over the suicides problem, and the Opposition members, who constitute less than one-third of the House, cannot expect that the House should run according to their dictates."
The government had already given its clarification and view on the crucial issue, the Chief Minister stated. The House had discussed the farmers' problems and suicides issue for two days as per the BAC decision, and the government had explained its stand on the steps to be taken on the crop loan waiver, he said.
