BJP Flays Opposition MLAs Suspension From Assembly
The Party termed the en masse suspension of the Opposition MLAs as a "black day in the Telangana Assembly".

The BJP floor leader in the Telangana Assembly Dr K Lakshman strongly condemned the attitude of the ruling TRS towards the problems of the farmers, and termed the en masse suspension of the Opposition MLAs as a "black day in the Telangana Assembly".
Talking to the media at the Assembly media point after the suspension, he said that the TRS government had shattered the aspirations of the people in the new State, which had been achieved after a long struggle by them.
"Chief Minister KCR today insulted the State's people and farmers in a never-before manner," the BJP leader alleged.
Lakshman said that the ruling Party wanted to conduct the session as per its whims, and that it was behaving in a well-crafted manner to suppress the Opposition.
Taking a dig at KCR, Lakshman said that the Chief Minister had said that he could not accept all the fancy demands of the Opposition (gonthemma korikelu). Did the demand to waive off the loans of the farmers in one go come under such a category, he questioned.
He also asked how the Speaker could suspend the Opposition MLAs when they had raised the problems of the farmers and the people in a democratic way.
The Opposition Parties were united on the problems of the farmers, and the ruling party was ridiculing democracy by suspending their MLAs, the BJP floor leader said.
There was no question of a compromise on the farmers' problems, he asseverated. "We are ready to fight for the farmers. If necessary we will take the help of other Opposition parties," he said.
He alleged that the MIM, the only Party spared the suspensions, was not serious and sincere about the problems of the farmers. It was supporting the ruling party, he said.
The ex-gratia announced by the government for the kin of the farmers who committed suicides should also be applied for the weavers, he demanded.
