Newly-appointed AP BJP president, MLC Somu Veeraraju, today took over and thanked the important leaders of the party for appointing him to the position.
He said that he was grateful to the national president of the party J P Nadda, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and union Home Minister Amit Shah for reposing faith in him.
He said that he would discharge his duties with utmost dedication and commitment, and would strengthen the party from the village level upwards.
He also said that he would take the concept of Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas to the grassroot level.
Veerraju takes over from Kanna Lakshminarayana, who was replaced yesterday after a 2-year stint which saw the party getting thrashed in the 2019 AP Assembly and Lok Sabha elections without winning a single seat in either house.
Lakshminarayana tweeted his best wishes for Veerraju.
