A "Software Engineers' Forum For Special Status" has been formed to work and fight for achieving Special Status for Andhra Pradesh, a promise made while bifurcating united Andhra Pradesh but not kept yet.
Software engineers hailing from Andhra Pradesh, who are working in Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai, have launched the forum.
Forum President Udayabhaskar Pallapogu said in a press note that they were surprised over Prime Minister Narendra Modi not speaking a word about the Special Status at the Amaravathi foundation stone-laying function on October 22.
The forum was started keeping this point in view, as also the delay by the Centre in announcing Special Status to the residual State.
He also said that the forum would chalk out its agenda shortly to push the demand for Special Status.
Its logo and digital opinion web centre will also be unveiled shortly to create awareness among the people on the need for Special Status.
