Handlooms and Textiles Minister P Shankar Rao, on Thursday, stated that he will work to resolve the problems facing the poor, irrespective of whether he remains in power or not.
In press statement following Swamy Vivekananda's 150th Jayanthi celebrations being organized under the aegis of Sahakar and Bangla Telugu Association at Basheerbagh Press Club, Shankar Rao stated that the post of a minister is not permanent.
"Regardless of whether the post is there or not, I will continue my fight to remedy the problems facing the poor, and will stay in their hearts permanently," he stated.
"From this point forward, I will be available for people round-the-clock. Even if they make a phone call seeking my help, I will go there and fight for their cause," he stated.
He reminisced over the way Dr. B R Ambedkar penned the Constitution so that it would provide speedy justice to the people.
"The credit for providing speedy justice to the common man goes to Dr. Ambedkar. Because of provisions in the law, the courts are taking cases Suo Motu and issuing directions to the concerned respondents immediately in an effort of provide speedy justice," he stated. (INN)
