In a plea for compassion, GHMC Commissioner R V Karnan during the grand Indy Puppy Mela today urged people to embrace adopted desi puppies as members of their families.
Karnan and Khairatabad Zonal Commissioner Anurag Jayanthi inaugurated the Indy Puppy Adoption Mela at Jalagam Vengalrao Park in Hyderabad.
Held under the banner "Be a Hero. Adopt, Don't Shop.", the fair showcased a delightful array of dewormed, vaccinated, healthy and affectionate puppies, captivating everyone in attendance. The event received an overwhelming response from dog lovers and adoption enthusiasts.
The Commissioner, joined by Zonal Commissioners and animal lovers, admired the charming indie puppies on display. In a symbolic gesture, he personally handed over the first puppy to Ch Sai of Kukatpally, marking the start of a new bond.
He praised the families who came forward to adopt, commending their compassion in giving these pups a loving home and nurturing bonds of trust and loyalty.
