Educational institutions in Andhra Pradesh will start to reopen from November 2.
The education department of the state has decided to open all the schools and colleges. They will however following strict Covid-19 prevention rules.
The reopening will be in three phases, and classes will be held for only half the day.
On November 2, classes for 9th, 10th, intermediate first year and intermediate second year students will start. Classes for all higher education courses will also commence from the same day. These classes will be held on a rotation basis.
The classes for the sixth, seventh and the eighth standard students will start from November 23. These classes will also be held on alternate days, for half the day.
In the third and last phase, classes for students from the first class to the fifth class will commence, on December 14, 2020. They will also be held on every alternate day, for half the day.
The same schedule will apply for all government-aided and private educational institutions.
