After being permitted by the state government, all schools, colleges and other educational institutions are set to be reopened on February 1.
Students will return to physical classes on Tuesday after a lengthy forced holiday break from January 8 to 30.
The government has directed the managements of the schools and colleges including private ones to follow Covid protocols in running their institutions and make the necessary arrangements.
Students and teachers will need to wear masks and keep their hands sanitized, and maintain social distance.
According to reports, the health staff are also to visit educational institutions to conduct vaccination drives if necessary.
Education minister Sabitha Reddy appealed to the parents to avoid fear and send their children to classes to be able to prepare fully for the examinations.
