Jagan Releases Rs 680 Crore Fee Reimbursement For 9.32L Students
The AP CM said that the total amount spent by his government so far on the education sector in the last four years was Rs 69,288.15 crore.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy today released a huge amount of Rs 680.44 crore as fee reimbursement for over 9.32 lakh student beneficiaries under the Vidya Deevana scheme at an event in Nagari.
He released the funds for the April-June quarter for this financial year.
The event also witnessed the inauguration and foundation stone-laying of developmental projects worth Rs 31 crore in the Nagari constituency by the Chief Minister.
Speaking on the occasion, Jagan said, "With this, the total assistance provided so far under the Vidya Deevena and Vasathi Deevena schemes stands at Rs 15,593 crore. And the total amount spent by the government so far on the education sector in the last four years is Rs 69,288.15 crore. My government is making extensive efforts to provide debt-free education for underprivileged families so as to create engineers and doctors in every household in the State."
He also said that the State government's fee reimbursement support through schemes like Jagananna Vidya Deevena encompassed fees for a broad variety of courses including those offered in polytechnics, degree colleges, engineering colleges, medical colleges and ITIs.
The AP government also assists students with food and accommodation, providing Rs 10,000 for ITI students, Rs 15,000 for polytechnic students, and Rs 20,000 for degree, engineering and medicine students per year.
