Sri Chaitanya Educational Institutions Founder Passes Away

Dr Boppana Satyanarayana Rao, popularly known as B S Rao, the head of the Sri Chaitanya educational institutions, passed away today.

Dr Boppana Satyanarayana Rao, popularly known as B S Rao, the head of the Sri Chaitanya educational institutions, passed away today.

He was 75.

Rao, who was suffering from illnesses for some time, breathed his last at a private hospital in Hyderabad.

Prior to launching the famous education institutions, the Rao couple worked as doctors in England and Iran.

In 1986, Rao established his first junior college in Vijayawada, exclusively for girls. Later, he added many more junior colleges with the name of Sri Chaitanya, across united Andhra Pradesh.

The group currently has 321 junior colleges, 322 techno schools and 107 CBSE schools, in which about 8.5 lakh students are studying.
