Tension prevailed when the police detained former Sangareddy MLA T Jagga Reddy at Sadashivpet on Monday when the latter tried to occupy government lands.
The police arrested him saying that he had no permission to organize the "Chalo Sadasivpet" program.
Speaking on the occasion, Reddy alleged that the TRS government had taken back the lands given to 5,500 poor people during the Congress regime, and that the local MLA was playing games with the lives of the poor. He said that the movement would not be stopped by the arrests, and announced that he would lay siege to the Sangareddy Collectorate on Tuesday.
He vowed that he would not stop his fight till the affected poor got their lands back.
