Telangana Lawyers Held In Protests

Telangana lawyers, in an agitation protesting against the comments of local MLA Jagga Reddy, are arrested by police.

Telangana lawyers, on a Chalo Sangareddy agitation to protest against the comments of local MLA Jagga Reddy, were arrested by police.

Nearly 50 High Court lawyers came in a procession to express their protest against Reddy for his remarks, but were stopped by the police mid-way.

After a scuffle and some tense moments, the lawyers were taken to various police stations, and non-bailable cases were foisted on them.

The situation was tense at the local court, when police lathi-charged lawyers who were raising slogans against the local MLA and trying to surge towards his residence.

While some lawyers from Hyderabad were arrested on their way, others who assembled at the local court were beaten up. (INN)
