City girl Saina Nehwal on Sunday made Hyderabadis proud once more by bagging her 3rd successive Super Series title win.
The top-seeded Indian continued her dream run on the international sporting scene, and overcame a resolute fight by Japan's Sayaka Sato to win the Indonesian Open Super Series title 21-19, 13-21, 21-11, in 45 minutes.
With Sunday's win, Saina has remained unbeaten for the past 3 weeks. Saina had earlier won the Indian Open Grand Prix and the
Singapore Open Super Series Tournament last week. The win is also her third Super Series title overall.
Unlike in the semi-finals, Saina had to face a tough fight from the 19-year-old Sato.
Sato took the fight to her opponent, matching shot-for-shot but was unable to overcome her weaknesses at crucial stages of the match.
