Former Home Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy called on Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy at the latter's office in the State Secretariat here on Wednesday.
Talking to reporters later, Sabitha Reddy said that she had requested the Chief Minister to increase the daily wages of Home Guards to Rs. 300.
She said that he had raised the daily payment of the Home Guards from Rs. 100 to Rs. 200, during her tenure as the Home Minister.
She said that however, payments need to be increased for all Home Guards in the state. She also demanded extension of all other benefits, including Health Insurance for the Home Guards.
Sabitha said that the CM agreed to consider her request.
Answering a question, she denied having discussed any political issues with the Kiran Kumar Reddy. (INN)
