Telangana IT & Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu today announced that the State government was investing Rs 15,000 crore to enhance Hyderabad's infrastructure.
Speaking at the grand inauguration of Microsoft's state-of-the-art campus in Gachibowli, the minister, alongside Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, unveiled an ambitious roadmap aimed at transforming the city's urban landscape and strengthening its position as a global technology hub.
"This investment is not just about infrastructure enhancement; it is a strategic initiative to make Hyderabad one of the most advanced and future-ready cities in the world, under the Chief Minister's leadership," he said.
The minister said that the strategic infrastructure revolution was designed to elevate Hyderabad's global standing. Key projects in it included the expansion of the Metro Rail and the Regional Ring Road, the creation of Future City and AI City, the establishment of Young India Skills University and an EV manufacturing hub, facilities to pursue advancements in quantum engineering and bioinformatics, and the revitalisation of the Musi river.
"This is a future-driven master plan designed to enhance quality of life, accelerate economic growth and attract global investments," Babu said.
