DTCC also announced plans to expand its workforce to 2,000 roles in the coming years.
Telangana IT and Industries Minister Sridhar Babu said that this development highlighted Hyderabad's rapid emergence as a hub for global enterprises seeking talent and technological expertise.
"DTCC's expansion is a testament to Telangana's unmatched ability to nurture world-class talent and infrastructure," Babu said.
Emphasizing the corporation's commitment to local hiring, he said, "These 500 roles are just the beginning. We're not just creating jobs - we're empowering our youth to master global financial systems while driving growth at home."
The announcement also served as a platform to unveil Telangana's ambitious vision for a 200-acre AI City, anchored by a pioneering AI University designed to transform the State's youth into global leaders in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
"The university will be a public-private partnership that bridges academia and industry," the minister said. "This institution will cultivate pioneers who code the future, ensuring Telangana doesn't just follow global trends, but sets them. Hyderabad will soon be synonymous with AI innovation."
Pitching the city aggressively to investors, the minister added, "Hyderabad is no longer just an IT hub. It's where fintech, biotech and AI converge. Bring your boldest ideas here. We offer skilled talent, policy agility, and the freedom to innovate."
