The Telangana government today released Rs 100 crore for the development of the temple of Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy in Jagtial district.
The State Planning Commission released the amount from the Special Development Fund.
For the uninitiated, in December of last year Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had announced Rs 100 crore for the temple for its renovation during his tour of Jagtial district.
The CM said that lakhs of devotees were visiting the temple every year, and it needed to be much better.
He had also said that some of the country's best priests would visit the temple and renovate it as per the Agama sastras.
