KCR Lays Foundation Stone For Hare Krishna Heritage Tower
The tower will be constructed on six acres of land in Narsingi at a cost of Rs 200 crore, with the State government contributing Rs 25 crore.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today laid the foundation stone for the Hare Krishna Heritage Tower in Kokapet in a traditional ceremony.
He was accorded a warm welcome by the Hare Krishna Sanstha amidst chanting by Vedic scholars. A stone plaque commemorating the bhoomi puja and foundation laying was unveiled on the stage.
Later, the founders of the Hare Krishna Movement paid floral tributes to a statue of late Srila Prabhupada. They completed the program by performing a Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Kalyanotsavam.
The opening speech was delivered by Madhu Pandit Dasa, Chairman of the Hare Krishna Movement.
The Hare Krishna Heritage Tower will be constructed on a sprawling six acres of land in Narsingi at a cost of Rs 200 crore, and will be 400 feet (120 metres) tall. The tower has the potential to be another cultural landmark in the city. Accommodation will be available for 1,500 devotees in the facility, and it will be capable of food donation for 500 people at a time.
The construction will be undertaken using cutting-edge technology blended with the skill of the Kakatiyas to showcase the historical and cultural heritage of Telangana. A library, a wedding auditorium, IMAX open air theatres, lecture halls, a Q complex and guest rooms will be part of the temple structures. The history of Lord Krishna along with his teachings and technologically advanced laser shows will be made available to make today's youth understand. With all the features and facilities, the structure is expected to attract lakhs of tourists from abroad.
Speaking on the occasion, CM KCR announced Rs 25 crore on behalf of the State government for the construction of the tower.

Akshaya Patra is supplying meals through Annapoorna to school children and providing food to the poor in Hyderabad without stopping for a single day. This is a testament to their dedication. I thank you for Akshaya Patra on behalf of the people of Telangana."
Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy, MP Joginipalli Santosh Kumar, MLCs Surabhi Vanidevi, Palla Rajeshwar Reddy and Naveen Rao, MLAs T Prakash Goud and Jayapal Yadav, former Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, Aurobindo Pharma Limited MD Nithyananda Reddy and others participated in the event. From the Hare Krishna Movement team, Chairman Madhu Pandita Dasa, Hyderabad president Satya Goura Chandra Dasa, Sri Krishna Goseva Mandali Secretary Suresh Kumar Agarwal, Sri Krishna Goseva Mandali Trustee Shyam Sundar Gupta and others participated.
