KCR Announces Rs 50 Crore For Banswada Constituency
Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao announced the sanction of Rs 50 crore for the development of the Banswada Assembly constituency in Kamareddy district.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today announced the sanction of Rs 50 crore for the development of the Banswada Assembly constituency in Kamareddy district.
KCR along with his wife Shobha participated in the Kalyanotsavam of Lord Venkateswara Swamy as part of the Brahmotsavams being organised at the Sri Tirumala Venkateswara Swamy temple in Thimmapur of Birkur mandal in the constituency which is represented by Telangana Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy.
Addressing the people after taking part in the Kalyanotsavam, the CM said that the constituency had developed exponentially under the leadership of Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, that he had got to know that farmers from Banswada alone were producing paddy worth Rs 1,500 crore.
The CM said that he had decided to allocate another Rs 50 crore for the development of the constituency from the Chief Minister's Special Development Fund, and asked the officials to release the funds immediately.
In addition to that, KCR also announced the sanction of Rs 7 crore for completion of the retaining wall and other pending works of the Venkateswara Swamy temple.
(The CM had earlier released Rs 23 crore for the reconstruction of the temple.)
Earlier, KCR was accorded a grand welcome by Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, Minister for Roads and Buildings Vemula Prashanth Reddy and other elected representatives when he reached Banswada by a special helicopter. The CM presented a 2 kg gold crown donated by devotees, to the presiding deity.
The CM also planted a sapling on the temple premises, and unveiled a pylon at the "Alipiri entrance" of the temple which was redesigned on the lines of the temple of Lord Venkateswara Swamy at Tirumala.
MPs Santosh Kumar, B B Patil and K R Suresh Reddy; MLAs J Surender, Gampa Govardhan and Ganesh Bigala; TSRTC Chairman and MLA Bajireddy Govardhan; district Collector Jitesh V Patil; and others were present.
