Riyaz Ul Hassan Effendi Is MIM Candidate For MLC

The MIM, an unofficial ally of the ruling TRS, today announced Riyaz Ul Hassan Effendi as its candidate for the upcoming elections for MLC seats in the MLA quota.

Effendi is currently the GHMC Dabeerpura corporator.

Several leaders of the MIM lobbied hard for the post, and party supremo Asaduddin Owaisi finally decided to zero in on Effendi.

Earlier, the TRS announced that it was leaving the fifth MLC seat for the MIM. The TRS has itself already announced the names of its candidates for the other four MLC seats - they are Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Satyavati Rathod, Sheri Subash Reddy and Egge Mallesham.
