The TPCC chief swore in the name of the goddess Bhagyalakshmi at the Charminar temple that he did not take any money in the Munugodu by-election.

TPCC chief Revanth Reddy today swore in the name of the goddess Bhagyalakshmi at the historic Charminar temple for her that he did not take even a single penny in the Munugodu by-election, and said that he would be destroyed completely if he lied in the goddess' name.
Reddy visited the temple after his challenge to former minister and BJP leader Eatala Rajender, who had alleged that Reddy had taken Rs 25 crore from the BRS during the by-election.
Eatala himself did not accept Reddy's challenge to come to the temple and swear that his allegations were true, and said that he had only said what he had learnt and believed.
Speaking to media persons after taking the vow, Reddy said that he would never compromise with CM K Chandrashekar Rao until his last breath. He alleged that Eatala had made baseless allegations against him, and that in fact it was the BRS and the BJP that had contested the Munugodu elections using money.
He said that the Congress candidate Palvai Sravanthi had contested the election without spending a single rupee, but that the BRS and the BJP had both spent hundreds of crores in the election. Liquor worth Rs 300 crore was sold in the constituency during the by-election, he claimed.
He also said derisively that he was not a leader like Eatala who had surrendered after receiving notices from the State government.
Claiming that he had sympathy for Eatala so far, Reddy said that the BJP leader was now indulging in degrading politics, and had lost his sympathies. He asked Eatala whether his accusations was the respect that he was giving to anti-KCR voices in Telangana.
Reddy's eyes turned tearful while talking to the media.
