CM Lays Foundation Stone For New Osmania Hospital
The new hospital will have 2,000 beds, 41 OTs, a 500-bed ICU, a 750-seat auditorium, modern hostels, sports grounds and mutiple colleges.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today laid the foundation stone for a new structure of the Osmania General Hospital (OGH).
The foundation-laying ceremony was attended by Health Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha, Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy, other MLAs, several MPs and MLCs, other elected representatives, senior officials, and medical staff.
Speaking to the media later, Rajanarasimha said that the State government was developing the new OGH on a sprawling 26-acre campus, and that it would be a state-of-the-art facility having 30 departments in 30 blocks covering a total area of 32 lakh square feet, and with 2,000 beds, 41 operation theatres, a 500-bed ICU, an auditorium with a 750-seat capacity, modern hostels and sports grounds.
"We will provide comprehensive medical services to all patients visiting Osmania. There will be no instance where a patient is referred elsewhere due to a lack of facilities," he claimed.
It would also house dental, nursing and physiotherapy colleges in its premises, the minister said.
He also said that the hospital's construction was estimated to cost approximately Rs 2,700 crore, and expected to be completed within two years.
