Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today conducted a review of the groundwork for the construction of the new Osmania Hospital, with senior officials at his residence.
During the meeting, Reddy instructed officials to make all the necessary arrangements to lay the foundation stone for the hospital, which would feature state-of-the-art facilities comparable to those found in corporate hospitals, by the end of January.
He inquired about the status of land for the hospital at Goshamahal, and directed that the site currently under the jurisdiction of the police department be transferred to the health department as soon as possible. The CM reportedly tasked the officials from both departments with expediting the land transfer process and addressing other related matters promptly.
The authorities also provided the Chief Minister with an overview of the new hospital's design and presented sample blueprints. The CM recommended a number of modifications and additions to the designs proposed by the officials. He expressed his desire for the hospital to be built with a comprehensive array of modern amenities. The officials were also instructed to finalise the designs with a long-term perspective, particularly in relation to the development of the road network, parking facilities, mortuary services and other essential infrastructure within the hospital grounds.
In addition to state-of-the-art facilities, Reddy has also proposed the development of parks and green spaces to provide a relaxing environment within the hospital premises for visitors and patients.
