Chief Minister Revanth Reddy inaugurated the 83rd Numaish at the Exhibition Grounds in Nampally today.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that Numaish was a symbol of Hyderabad after the Charminar and the Tank Bund, and termed it Hyderabad Ka Nishan.
He congratulated the Exhibition Society for maintaining the prestige of the exhibition every year, and said that the State government would take all possible steps to enhance Hyderabad's brand image by upgrading Numaish.
He also promised that the State government would extend complete support to the Society in its running of numerous educational institutions with social responsibility, and specifically to elevate Kamala Nehru Polytechnic, owned by the Society, to an engineering college.
Ministers D Sridhar Babu and Ponnam Prabhakar and members of Exhibition Society also participated in the programme.
