81st National Industrial Exhibition Launched
Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan and Home Minister Mahmood Ali today launched the Numaish at the Nampally Exhibition Grounds, amid coronavirus protocols.

Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan and Home Minister Mahmood Ali today launched the 81st National Industrial Exhibition (Numaish, or the "exhibition" of your childhood days) at the Nampally Exhibition Grounds, amid coronavirus protocols.
Soundararajan extended New Year greetings to the people on the occasion and expressed hope that they would be unburdened of the virus.
The exhibition reflected the unity of the country, she said, adding that the trade and business in the 45 days also generated income for the Exhibition Society, enabling it to offer better quality education facilities for the poor.
She appreciated the Exhibition Society for working towards the cause of giving education to the poor, and pointed out that about 10,000 people directly and indirectly got employment from the Society.
Mahmood Ali said that finance minister T Harish Rao who was the Chairman of the Exhibition Society could not attend the event, and that he (Ali) was representing Rao.
He said that the Society had taken all possible measures to check the spread of the coronavirus and reduce the risk of fire accidents, but appealed to the people to follow the coronavirus protocols nevertheless in the exhibition. He expressed hope that the exhibition would stay open for all 45 days.
About 1,500 stalls are being set up in the exhibition to display a wide variety of clothes, utensils and material for the public.
The organizers have reportedly taken measures to see that all the stalls followed coronavirus protocols and to ensure that everyone wore masks.
