Actor and politician Rajinikanth, who had been
admitted to Apollo Hospital in Jubilee Hills on Friday after his blood pressure shot up, was discharged today.
He was reportedly advised to rest for at least a week before resuming shooting, and was asked to avoid large gatherings.
According to a health bulletin released by the hospital, the actor's health was normal, and his blood pressure too had stabilised completely.
"All the health reports indicate that Rajinikanth is now normal. He tested negative for Covid-19 as well," the report said.
The star will reportedly fly back to Tamil Nadu soon.
Rajinikanth had been shooting in Ramoji Film City of Hyderabad for his upcoming movie Annaatthe when the set first saw some crew getting infected by the novel coronavirus, and then the star himself suffering the BP fluctuations.
Given Rajinikanth's towering persona, the hospitalization has expectedly occupied plenty of the airwaves.
Annaatthe, a Tamil movie, stars Rajinikanth, Meena, Khushbu, Keerthy Suresh, Nayanthara, Prakash Raj and Jackie Shroff, and is being directed by Siruthai Siva.
