Congress president Rahul Gandhi will reach Hyderabad for a two-day tour on August 13.
Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan on Thursday, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President N Uttam Kumar Reddy said that besides participating in the Praja Chaitanya Bus Yatra in Ranga Reddy district, Gandhi would also address a series of meetings during the tour.
When asked for his reaction on the comments made by IT Minister K T Rama Rao, Reddy described them as "childish".
Earlier, Reddy formally launched the TPCC IT cell, and announced the appointment of Kalvakuntla Madan Mohan Rao as its chairman. He said that the IT cell would play a major role in creating a link between the party, its leaders and its cadre, and use technology to enable its cadre to reach out to the people with its policies and ideology. The IT cell would also help in exposing the failures of the TRS and the BJP governments, he said.
Speaking on the occasion, Rao said that the IT cell would act a bridge between the party and cadre through an innovative programme named "Congress Human Resources Management System (CHARMS)". He said that the new system would further strengthen the network for dissemination of information from the party to the common people.
