Rahul Gandhi To Join Note Ban Protest In Telangana
TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy today said that the Gandhi scion would visit the State to exhort people and address their note ban woes.

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy today alleged that the economic conditions of the people remained disturbed due to the demonetization of the 500 and 1,000 rupee notes by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government.
Speaking at the TPCC extended meeting at Gandhi Bhavan on Saturday, the Telangana Congress leader called upon the Party cadre to go to the people and campaign aggressively against the note ban. He said the Party would conduct special meetings in district headquarters on January 2, and asked the cadre to explain the problems people were facing to the move in the meeting.
The TPCC President also said the Party cadre would stage agitations on January 5, 6 and 7 at the individual district Collectorates. On January 9, there would be protest programs by Mahila Congress activists. Later on January 11, the All India Congress Committee (AICC) also would organize a public meeting at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on the burning issue. He exhorted party members to gather in large numbers.
Reddy added that AICC Vice-President Rahul Gandhi was likely to visit Telangana as part of a nation-wide movement against demonetization. AICC observer K B Krishna Murthy, Party leaders Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, K Jana Reddy, Mohammed Ali Shabbir, Ponnala Laxmaiah, V Hanumantha Rao, D Sridhar Babu, S A Sampath Kumar, P Sabitha Indra Reddy, Vamshichand Reddy and others participated in the meeting.
