Telangana Tribal Welfare Minister Satyavathi Rathod today said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was committed to the development of the villages and towns in the state.
She held a program at Mahabubabad's Nandana Gardens ahead of the Palle and Pattana Pragathi programs that are to begin from July 1. Speaking on the occasion, the minister appealed to the local village panchayat to hold Gram Sabhas and devise a development plan in the next ten days, and to the public to participate in the government's development programs.
"Employed persons, the retired and elderly, IT workers, and all others should participate in the Palle and Pattana Pragathi and Telanganaku Haritha Haram programs. Let us involve ourselves in the state's development programs and use funds wisely to widen basic amenities access for all," she said.
Rathod then asked the local leaders and officials to take feedback from the people and find out what facilities were lacking in the area so that the issues could be addressed immediately.
"A lush green environment, basic amenities, and cleanliness are key for a healthy life. This is especially critical during the current pandemic. I would remind people to follow all the necessary Covid-19 safety protocols and to ensure a clean and green environment. Our government stands for the development of both villages and towns and is always working to improve infrastructure across the state. However, the public's cooperation and support is key to successfully brining speedy development to rural and urban Telangana," the leader added.
Further, she said that the government was focused on the holistic development and welfare of the deprived sections of society, and claimed that all the SC, ST, and other minority communities were being able to grow under the rule of the TRS.
