Launching the Pattana Pragathi program as well as the seventh phase of the Haritha Haram program at Khairatabad, Telangana Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was "like a god" to the poor of the state.
He claimed, "Our CM is devoted to safeguarding and promoting the interests of the poor. He has brought in several pro-poor policies and welfare schemes that provide financial assistance for education, the marriage of poor girls under the Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak schemes, and also cater to housing needs. No other state in the country is implementing such welfare schemes."
The minister then urged the local leaders and the public to support the Haritha Haram re-greening program. He told them to keep their surroundings clean and green to enjoy the benefits of living in a healthy environment.
"The government is offering six plants to each household. The owners should plant these saplings and protect them so the plants can contribute to the creation of a clean and green state," Yadav said.
Elaborating on the TRS government's commitment to developing the green cover in the state, he added, "Realising the importance of a clean and flourishing natural environment, our government has made it an aim to improve the environment of our state. We have launched the Palle Pragathi, Pattana Pragathi and Haritha Haram programs for the all-round development of towns and villages across Telangana. As part of this, sanitation and waste management concerns will be addressed. Debris cleaning and plantation drives will also be undertaken. Further, during the ten-day-long drive, infrastructure and developmental issues, too, will be resolved. The local leaders must participate in the drive to make it a grand success."
MLA Danam Nagender, Mayor G Vijayalakshmi, and several local corporators, leaders, and officials attended the program.
