Municipal Administration and IT Minister K T Rama Rao today said that two new schemes, T Idea and T Pride, would boost employment and offer jobs to the youth in the state.
The government had framed the schemes to ensure that the eligible youth of rural Telangana became businessmen, traders and entrepreneurs, and the youth could set up units of their choice and avail themselves of support and subsidies under the schemes, the minister said.
The two funds would be given Rs 4,800 crore in funds, and would augment the rural economy and benefit 67,000 people of specified categories, he claimed.
SC, ST and disabled people would get all necessary support as per eligibility norms under the schemes to become entrepreneurs, including adequate facilities to do business, power cost reimbursement, land, reservations and subsidies, Rao added.
Sustainable development of rural youth was the aim of the schemes, which would pump in huge funds towards that end, the minister stated.
The minister expressed hope that the two schemes would boost the Telangana economy and employment.
