Senior Telugu Desam Party leader and Rajya Sabha member Nandamuri Harikrishna on Friday demanded that Praja Rajyam Party president K Chiranjeevi explain the decision of allying with the Congress party for the recently concluded elections to the Upper House of Parliament.
He said that the PRP chief owed an explanation to the people of the state since he had termed the Congress as 'corrupt' before the general elections.
Harikrishna, the son of TDP's founder N T Rama Rao, questioned how could the PRP, which had touted itself as an alternative to the Congress prior to the elections, can now ally with the same party. He said that this was nothing but cheating the people of the state in general and PRP supporters in particular.
Harikrishna also questioned whether Chiranjeevi had lost confidence in himself after many party leaders left its fold to join other parties.
