Telugu Desam Party senior leader T Devender Goud on Monday expressed doubts over the
Group-I results being announced by the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission.
Talking to media persons at NTR Trust Bhavan, Devender Goud demanded that the government order probe a into Group-I examination, since a suspiciously large number of candidates from the Tirupati region have qualified.
Out of 700 candidates who appeared for the main examination, as many as 123 candidates from Tirupati have qualified, whereas, in Warangal district, only 11 candidates cleared the examination, he pointed out.
Goud also said that not even 10% of the candidates who wrote the examinations in the Telugu medium qualified in the main examination.
He said that the government should order comprehensive probe into entire examination process, to clear doubts among candidates.
He also demanded that the government re-conduct the examinations if required.
The TDP leader also slammed the state government for its failure to provide proper infrastructure facilities for conducting the Warden Test in Social Welfare Hostels. (INN)
