BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy held a press meet at Telangana Bhavan today and made sensational remarks regarding the recruitment process for Group-1 posts in Telangana.
He alleged that the biggest scam in the history of India took place during the Group-1 exams.
Listing the alleged irregularities, he said that one hall ticket was issued for the Group-1 mains and a different one for the prelims.
He also claimed that a total of 21,093 people wrote the exam, but results were declared for 21,103 candidates. "How were 10 additional candidates included in the final results list without having written the exam? Also, 654 candidates who had consecutive hall ticket numbers received identical marks. How is that possible? Why weren't the exam papers properly evaluated by the professors?" he asked.
He also said that only 69 candidates got jobs from exam centres where 10,000 applicants appeared, while 74 candidates were selected from just two centres at Koti Women's College, which had only 1,494 candidates.
He also wondered about disproportionate results across mediums, with 7 out of 9 Urdu medium candidates selected while only 70 out of 7,800 Telugu medium candidates made it.
"During our rule, if there was any leak, the Group-1 exam was immediately cancelled. Why is the BJP silent on this issue? I challenge Bandi Sanjay, who holds a position in the Union Home Ministry, to order an inquiry into this exam scam," he said.
Reddy claimed that a scam worth crores of rupees occurred in the Group-1 exam, and that the BJP and Congress were involved in match-fixing.
He demanded a judicial or CBI inquiry into the matter, and said that if the TGPSC authorities admitted to mistakes, criminal cases should be filed against them.
He also demanded the immediate cancellation of the exam. Acknowledging that a case might be filed against him for making these allegations, he declared that he was not afraid of the police cases.
He also questioned the State government on the status of its job calendar announced before the elections.
