Concerns Over Mistakes In Group 1 Mains Results
Thousands of candidates have alleged exam irregularities, and urged the State to cancel the appointments and re-conduct the exams.

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar today entered the fray amid allegations of irregularities, corruption and serious mistakes in the Group 1 Mains examination results.
As per reports, thousands of candidates approached him with petitions against the alleged irregularities in the exam, and demanded that the State government cancel the appointments and conduct the exams again.
Sanjay prepared a letter seeking information from the TGPSC regarding the exam results, and wrote to TGPSC Chairman Burra Venkatesam in this regard.
In the letter, he said that Group 1 candidates had repeatedly brought to his attention numerous irregularities and mistakes in the conduct of the examinations, the evaluation process and the results.
The minister also said that there were violations of the notification, and errors in the declaration of the marks, the evaluation of examination papers, and ranks awarded to candidates who wrote the exam in the Urdu medium.
He said that these issues amounted to a violation of rules, and that it was the responsibility of the TGPSC to address the concerns of both the candidates and the public.
He requested a complete list of marks, including the names, of all the 563 candidates selected under the UPSC pattern. He also urged the TGPSC Chairman to provide the General Ranking List (GRL) and the Provisional Marks List (PML) prior to recounting, and to release a breakdown of marks by the candidates' medium of examination.
He requested that the Commission provide the information he sought within a week.
