The court had annulled the Group-1 Mains examination results and general ranking list.

The Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) today filed an appeal before a division bench of the High Court contesting the single judge's order that annulled the Group-1 Mains examination results and general ranking list.
On September 9, a single judge had annulled the results which were declared on March 10 and the ranks announced on March 30, and gave the TGPSC two options - either to re-evaluate the answer sheets manually as per the Supreme Court guidelines in the Sanjay Singh vs UPSC case to fill the 563 posts, or cancel the Mains exam held in October 2024 altogether and re-conduct it within eight months.
The single judge's decision followed allegations of procedural lapses, including the issuance of two sets of hall tickets with different numbers, inconsistent evaluation methods and biased centre allotment.
The TGPSC's appeal seeks to overturn the order, arguing that the evaluation process was conducted in adherence to established procedures.
The division bench is expected to hear the matter soon, and its ruling will have significant implications for the future of the Group-1 recruitment process.
