Posters Appear In Gandhi Bhavan Targeting Madhu Yashki Goud

A large number of posters have been put up against Telangana Congress campaign committee chairman Madhu Yashki Goud at Gandhi Bhavan.

The posters had "Save LB Nagar Congress" printed on them.

Goud had reportedly recently applied to the party high command for the ticket for the L B Nagar Assembly constituency.

In this connection, posters were first put up in the L B Nagar constituency alleging that Goud was parachuting into the constituency. Posters against him with the words "Go Back to Nizamabad" became a sensation in the Congress circles.

Some Congress leaders alleged that it was L B Nagar Congress in-charge Jakkidi Prabhakar Reddy who had put up those posters. Goud had then requested PCC chief Revanth Reddy to suspend Prabhakar Reddy from the party.

This time, Goud alleged that the MLA representing L B Nagar Sudheer Reddy, of the BRS, was behind the posters. He alleged that Reddy was carrying out the poster campaign against him as he was scared of losing in the upcoming elections. He added that Sudheer Reddy was a traitor who had cheated the Congress.

He also alleged that there were covert leaders in the party, and that the party would soon take action against all such covert leaders.

Meanwhile, with some media entities reporting that Jakkidi Prabhakar Reddy was again behind the campaign, he addressed a press conference strongly refuting the reports and claiming that he had nothing to do with the posters.

For the uninitiated, Goud won from Nizamabad as a Congress candidate in the 2004 and 2009 Lok Sabha elections. He then lost to BRS candidate K Kavitha in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, and to the BJP's Dharmapuri Arvind in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. It is being learnt that he has now decided to stay away from Nizamabad for the upcoming elections, and had applied for the Congress ticket for the L B Nagar Assembly seat.
