Revanth Reddy To Be Next Telangana CM, Will Take Oath On Dec 7
The AICC today appointed TPCC chief Revanth Reddy as the Telangana Assembly CLP leader, effectively declaring him as the next CM of the State.

The All-India Congress Committee today appointed TPCC chief Revanth Reddy as the Telangana Assembly CLP leader, effectively declaring him as the next CM of the State.
The announcement was made by AICC general secretary (organisation) K C Venugopal while addressing media persons in New Delhi along with Karnataka Deputy CM D K Shivakumar, AICC State in-charge Manikrao Thakre, and party MLAs N Uttam Kumar Reddy and Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka.
Speaking on the occasion, Venugopal said that the party's national president Mallikarjun Kharge had taken the decision to appoint Revanth Reddy as the CLP leader, after all the elected MLAs had passed a single-point resolution entrusting the decision of appointing the CLP leader to the party president. He said that the swearing-in ceremony of the new CM would be held on Thursday in Hyderabad.
Heaping praises on Revanth Reddy, Venugopal said that Reddy had worked hard for the victory of the party in the State along with the other senior leaders of the party.
Anumula Revanth Reddy, born on November 8, 1969, is a Congress MP in the 17th Lok Sabha, representing the Malkajgiri constituency. He was a two-time TDP MLA representing Kodangal in first in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly (2009-14) and then in the Telangana Legislative Assembly (2014-18). He quit the TDP and joined the Congress in October 2017. On June 2021, he was appointed as president of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee. He is the MLA-elect from the Kodangal constituency in the 2023 Telangana Legislative Assembly election.
