Megastar and politician Pawan Kalyan, who had tested positive for Covid-19 on April 17, has recovered fully from the deadly disease.
The doctors who had treated the JSP founder conducted RTPCR tests three days ago to ascertain whether he had recovered or not. Following this, he tested negative.
The doctors have said that the actor, though suffering from the aftereffects of the disease like weakness, was otherwise doing well and was completely healthy.
After testing negative, Kalyan thanked all his fans and supporters for praying for his health and speedy recovery. He urged them to take care of themselves during the pandemic and to follow the advice of doctors to keep themselves safe.
On the acting front, the actor, recently starred in a Dil Raju production
Vakeel Saab, a remake of the 2016 Amitabh Bachchan starrer,
Pink. The film marked his return to the silver screen after a gap of three years.
Though the film garnered much praise, and got good reviews and generally positive responses, it landed in a spot of legal trouble when a resident of Hyderabad's Panjagutta area, Sudhakar,
lodged a complaint with the Punjagutta Police against the makers of the film some days ago.
The man was reportedly forced to take legal action after a scene in the film used his mobile phone number - in his complaint, he notified the police that the makers, Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations, had used his number in the film without first seeking his permission to do so.
The scene in question is one where one of the female characters in the film, Anjali, faces horrific abuse after her phone number (which happens to be Sudhakar's actual number) is shared publicly by the villains alongside a morphed picture of her. Since the number is clearly visible in the scene, the complainant claims that following the release of the film, the illegal usage of his phone number has led him to become the victim of many abusive phone calls.
