JSP chief, actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan, today went into self-quarantine after two of his personal staff members tested positive for Covid-19.
A statement released by the party revealed that because a large number of Kalyan's staff, including chief executives, security and personal staff, had been affected by the disease over the past week, he had gone into quarantine on the advice of doctors. The statement assured his many fans, however, that this was simply part of a precautionary measure.
"After many of his staff have contracted Covid-19, Sri Pawan Kalyan has gone into self-quarantine as he worked closely with the affected persons. He is, however, healthy and is executing his duties as well. He regularly communicates with other party leaders via video calls," it said.
On the work front, Kalyan has recently returned to the silver screen after a gap of three years with
Vakeel Saab, a remake of the 2016 Amitabh Bachchan starrer,
Pink.
The film has garnered much praise, and has gotten good reviews and generally positive responses. His fans have been in a rather celebratory mood ever since the release.
Some excited fans even asked him to run for the post of Chief Minister at a pre-release event of Vakeel Saab. The JSP head politely dodged the matter by thanking his fans for their constant support, and said that he would continue to work for the state without any expectations.
