OU JAC To Boycott AP Formation Day

The Osmania University Students Joint Action Committee on Monday warned Telangana leaders that students would resort to physical attacks on those who participate in the State Formation Day celebrations on 1 Nov.

Addressing the media, the Students' JAC leaders said that they would observe the State Formation Day as a "Betrayal Day" and hoist black flags across the region.

They said that they have already asked ministers and elected representatives to boycott the State Formation Day celebrations on 1 Nov in protest against the Centre's delay in announcing a Telangana state.

If the ministers violate the dictat, the JAC leaders said, the student leaders would resort to physical attacks on them.

The JAC leaders also demanded that the government cancel the tenders of Polavaram in the wake of allegations over the awarding of contract. They also demanded that the government order a probe into the issue and to bring the guilty to light. (INN)
