Panchayat Raj Minister K Jana Reddy announced his support for the Yudh Bheri meeting, planned by the Osmania University Students Joint Action Committee, on September 21.

Jana Reddy said that he would discuss the proposed meeting with other leaders and ensure the Congress' support for the meet. He appealed to the students' unions to ensure that the meeting is conducted in a peaceful manner.

Meanwhile, pro-Telangana groups have also planned to conduct a "Sakala Janula Bheri" on September 29, to pressurise the government for the immediate formation of the Telangana state. Apparently, the pro-Telangana meetings' purpose is to show a strength against the "Save Andhra Pradesh" meeting held by the APGNOs on September 7. (INN)
