OU Student Found Strangled To Death
A 24-year-old girl student of Osmania University is found dead at her classmate's residence, under mysterious circumstances.

A 24-year-old girl student of Osmania University was found dead at her classmate's residence in Chatrinaka in the Old City, under mysterious circumstances. She is suspected to have been strangled to death.
According to the police, the deceased, Aruna Panabala, was found dead at the residence of Shiva Kumar, her classmate and M. Ed. student, at Chatrinaka, on Monday night.
The body was noticed when Shiva Kumar's parents returned home after attending some function. On information, the Chatrinaka police reached the spot and shifted the body to the Osmania General Hospital mortuary for autopsy.
Meanwhile, several students of Osmania University on Tuesday staged a protest near the mortuary, demanding that the police register a case of murder and arrest the culprits responsible for Aruna's murder.
ACP Falaknuma Tahir Ali and Chatrinaka Inspector Narayana Reddy were also present at the OGH mortuary to get preliminary information on the post-mortem. The police were ascertaining as to why and when Aruna had visited Shiva Kumar's house.
Later, the Chatrinaka inspector confirmed that a case of murder has been registered, and that further investigations were on.
According to Aruna's brother Venugopal, his sister, a native of T Goraram village in Nalgonda district, was pursuing higher education in Osmania University since 2004. (INN)
