KCR Family Part Of Sand Mafia: Telangana Opposition
The newly formed all-party committee's members said that Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao's family members were in cahoots with the sand mafia.

Alleging that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's family members were in cahoots with the sand mafia, the newly formed all-party committee's members said that the CM had victimised the Nerella dalits to protect the mafia.
The committee sought apologies from KCR and his son IT Minister K T Rama Rao the Nerella incident, and the suspension of the officials involved in the incident as also that of the Sircilla district SP.
Speaking to the media after submitting a memorandum to the state Governor E S L Narasimhan on the incident, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the all-party committee members had brought the issue of the attack on the dalits to the notice of the Governor, who he claimed promised that action would be initiated against the officials responsible for the incident.
Reddy alleged that the TRS government had first handcuffed farmers in Khammam district and now tortured dalits in Sircilla protesting against the sand mafia, showing where its allegiances lay. He alleged that all the persons involved in the sand mafia were relatives of the Chief Minister, and that thwt was why the Sircilla SP was not being suspended.
He also said that the Nerella incident took place with the interference of KTR, and demanded that KCR tender apologies for it, and KTR, his resignation as minister.
He said that the all-party committee would meet President Ram Nath Kovind on the issue on August 21 and 22.
Chiming in, Telangana TDP president L Ramana also alleged that KCR's family had links with the sand mafia, and was indulging in looting money. He, too, demanded that KTR tender his resignation to the minister post if he had any ethics. TDP senior leader Mothkupally Narasimhulu said that he had never seen an incident like the one at Nerella, and asked the CM why he looked down upon the SC, ST and BC communities. He said that the CM should visit the village if he really had any humanity. He also said that it was atrocious for KTR to say that he didn't know about the incident. He also asked the state government why it was not initiating action against the Sircilla SP.
BJP state president Dr K Laxman, too, said that the police had indulged in atrocities in Nerella, and asked the state government why it was not initiating action on the persons involved in the issue though the National SC Commission had given a report. The government was trying to escape from the issue by suspending a mere CCS SI. He demanded the government order a high level inquiry into the Nerella incident, and said that the TDP would wage a movement along with other political parties if the government did not.
CPI state secretary Chada Venkat Reddy demanded that the state government file an SC/ST Atrocities case against Sircilla SP Vishwajith, and asserted that the sand mafia's hand was behind the Nerella incident. He asked KTR to order an inquiry into the issue if he had the guts. He said that the all-party committee had urged the Governor to expose the sand mafia in Nerella.
TJAC chairman M Kodandaram alleged that the state government had violated the spirit of the Constitution intentionally in the Nerella incident. The government had ignore the Constitution itself just for the sake of the sand mafia, he claimed.
